Conifera Christmas Tree Farm offers choose and cut trees and pre cut trees. Current 2024 choose and cut inventory is limited to large blue spruce, Norway spruce, black hills spruce and Serbian spruce 15-18’. These are not recommended for indoor display and limited to outdoor commercial display. This year we will also be open for choose and cut trees on a limited basis for trees in the 5-7′ range comprised of scotch pine, white pine, and norway spruce. A limited number of Fraser, Balsam and Canaan Fir will be available for choose and cut in the 5-7′ range. Black hills table top trees 3-4′ will also be available for choose and cut in addition to our colorful painted trees. These are great for the kids! Each year we will add to availability as our trees mature. As usual we will have pre cut Wisconsin Fraser and Balsam Fir from 6′-14′, in addition to all of our handmade wreaths, garland, kissing balls and other holiday greenery. We are OPEN for the 2024 season Early Birds- November 24th , November 29th, 30th, December 1st ,7th,8th and 14th,15th, 21st,22nd. Hours from 9am- 4pm while supply lasts. This season in addition to being open Black Friday from 9am-4pm we will be open the following two Fridays December 6th, and 13th from 12pm-4pm for those that can’t make it on the weekends.
Choose and cut trees while our smaller trees grow is limited to large( 15′-19′) Norway and Blue Spruce and a limited amount of 5′-7′ Scotch Pine, White Pine, Norway Spruce, Fraser, Balsam and Canaan Fir.
We have Premium grade Wisconsin pre-cut Fraser fir Canaan Fir, and Balsam fir ranging from 6-12 ft and fresh wreaths and garland made onsite in our sales shop. These range from $12-15/ foot. Trees over 10′ are individually priced to reflect the size and quality of the tree.
We offer tree shaking and baling for free. We can cut the tree for you if you wish. Free refreshments including hot chocolate and homemade cookies.
Our farm is proud to participate in the “Tree’s for Troops” program which provides trees for military families. If you would like to purchase a second tree for this program we will provide a 10% discount on both your tree and the donated tree. Cash donations are accepted for this program. We provide a minimum of 6 trees a year for this program. Additional information can be found at treesfortroops.org.
Balsam Fir
These needles are ¾ to 1½ in. in length and last a very long time. This tree has a dark-green appearance and retains its pleasing fragrance throughout the Christmas season.
Canaan Fir
The Canaan is a medium growing (1-2ft per year) evergreen. Its needles are about 1 inch long and has a nice green color. It does not shed its needles but holds them for 10 years or longer.
Colorado Blue Spruce
Often used for stuffing pine-pillows, these sharp needles are 1 to 1 ½ in. in length. This species is bluish-gray in color. Needles have an unpleasant odor when crushed.
Fraser Fir
The Fraser fir branches turn slightly upward. They have good form and needle-retention. They are dark blue-green in color. They have a pleasant scent, and excellent shipping characteristics as well.
White Pine
The largest pine in the U.S., the white pine has soft, flexible needles and is bluish-green in color. Needles are 2½ – 5 inches long. White pines have good needle retention, but have little aroma.
